Shinto

Shinto is the indigenous spiritual tradition of Japan, centered on the worship of kami, which are spirits or deities believed to inhabit natural phenomena, objects, and ancestors. It emphasizes ritual practice, purification, and the maintenance of harmony between humans, nature, and the spiritual world, rather than a strict set of doctrinal beliefs.
